At Sensivo Kids, Mandarin teaching draws on drama, expressive learning and an understanding of child development. Stories, movement, sensory exploration and interaction help children build language skills through joyful participation.
Qianhui brings years of teaching, curriculum development and teacher training into the design of our programmes. Classroom observation, reflection and teamwork turn that experience into thoughtful lessons, responsive guidance and meaningful conversations with families.
OUR BEGINNINGS
Why I Founded Sensivo Kids
Throughout my years in education, I kept returning to several questions:
Why do some children understand Mandarin but hesitate to speak it?
Why do some children love stories yet struggle to develop an interest in reading Chinese characters?
Can we make learning enjoyable while still building strong language skills?
I have always believed that joy and academic learning are not opposites.
Meaningful Mandarin education should respect children's developmental needs, recognise different learning approaches and provide clear, progressive learning goals.
Becoming a mother deepened my understanding of what families hope for: children who are happy and confident, but who also develop genuine knowledge and skills.
These beliefs became the foundation of Sensivo Kids.
My hope is that children here will do more than learn Chinese characters and sentences. I want them to develop the confidence to express themselves, experience the joy of language and build foundations for lifelong learning.
Building a Teaching System That Can Grow Beyond One Classroom.
Sensivo Kids is built around a progressive five-stage PG–K2 Mandarin curriculum, combining music, storytelling, drama and sensory learning with structured character recognition and reading development.
As founder, my goal is to develop more than a collection of lessons. I hope to build an educational system that supports teacher development, helps parents understand learning progress and maintains consistent teaching standards.
Over time, Sensivo Kids will continue developing teacher training and Home Learning resources to create stronger connections between classroom learning, families and educators.
